1. Fixing the workpiece:

2. Installing the Tool:
Next, the tool is mounted on the broaching machine. The cutter is usually mounted on the spindle and then inserted into the broaching machine. Make sure the tool is installed correctly to avoid issues during the cutting process.
3. Cutting the workpiece:
Once the workpiece is secured, the tool is ready and the cutting process can begin. The tool moves along the surface of the workpiece while removing material. The amount of material removed depends on several factors, including the type of tool used and the depth of cut.
4. Remove the Knife:
When the cutting process is complete, remove the cutter from the broaching machine. In most cases, the tool can be reused for future projects. But if the knife is damaged, it needs to be replaced.
5. Inspect the workpiece:
The workpiece is removed from the machine and inspected to ensure its accuracy. If any problems are found, they need to be corrected before using the part. But more often than not, the workpiece will meet specifications and can be used as is.
6. Cleanup:
After the inspection is completed, the work area is cleared and then the machining of the next workpiece can be carried out.
